Adam Socha retired from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) in February 2023 after more than 36 years, having served as a senior toxicologist, supervisor, technical manager and most recently Science Coordinator in MECP’s Laboratory Services Branch. Adam’s duties had included providing toxicology advice to internal and external clients, serving as an expert witness in toxicology for the Crown, co-chairing the Federal-Provincial Committee on Environmental and Occupational Health, and working on the development of hazard identification methods for MECP, Environment Canada, Health Canada and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. Adam received his B.Sc. in pharmacology and toxicology from the University of Toronto in 1983 and his M.Sc. in toxicology and physiology from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph in 1986.
