Home / Team Member / Terence Ozolins, Ph.D.

During my Master’s and Doctoral training I studied embryotoxicity and mechanisms of teratogenesis under the respective supervision of Drs. Peter Wells and Barbara Hales.  My working career began in the pharmaceutical industry where I spent 12 years in research and development primarily in lead identification and optimisation.  My roles also included participation on numerous drug development teams in different capacities before returning to Canada. I am currently at Queen’s University where our lab examines in utero mechanisms and long term postnatal consequences of heart defects in rodent models.
